Greg Gray was born in Fort Worth, Texas and currently lives in Dallas. His first experience in the industry was with his mother who owned and operated a small catering company out of their home kitchen. His first job was at TGI Friday’s as a Host/Busser when he was 16 years old. His most recent experiences include working as a General Manager at Savor in Klyde Warren Park and Ocean Prime (he opened the Ocean Prime locations in Dallas, Beverly Hills and Boston).
Gray describes his management style as “Fair and efficient. I take pride in providing a great place for not only guests to come and have a great experience but also our employees or Inner Guests.” He really enjoys talking, interacting and getting to know the guest to provide a memorable experience for them. Gray says his favorite signature dish at Davio’s is the “Lobster Risotto which is a good representation of what we do: fresh quality ingredients from a scratch kitchen.” Gray says his areas of expertise include service, bar & beverage, training, conflict resolution, interviewing and hiring people. He says “I’ve either had or been responsible for every job in a restaurant and I really take pride in understanding what those jobs entail. His hobbies outside of work include preparing to run a 5K and spending time with friends and family.
