Steve Cantrell was born and raised in King of Prussia and lived in San Diego for almost a decade before returning home. Cantrell has managed beach bars and restaurants in Pacific Beach, California and worked as the Beverage Manager for Morgan’s Pier in Philadelphia as well as the Beverage and Operations Manager for Chester Valley Golf Club.
Cantrell credits his teachers and sports coaches as his mentors growing up and says “I have always had a passion for hospitality and food!” Cantrell says his areas of expertise include Beverage Management and modern cocktails. According to Cantrell it should always be “All About the Guest” because “our guests are why we exist, they are who drive our industry, they are why we continue to over achieve and be the best we can be.”
Cantrell’s favorite memories in the industry include “meeting a lot of Philadelphia sports heroes, the most memorable was Raul Ibanez not too soon after the 2008 Phillies World Series win!”
Cantrell is recently married, “we met on a dating app during the pandemic (how else are you going to meet someone in a lockdown!) I proposed in front of the leaning tower of Pisa.” His hobbies outside of work include golfing as much as possible.
