Matthew Rosekrans is the Executive Chef at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in Atlanta. Rosekrans was born and raised in Atlanta and currently resides outside the city in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Rosekrans has worked in the restaurant industry since college. His impressive resume includes opening the popular Pricci in Buckhead, Sous Chef at Blackberry Farm, Chef de Cuisine at Chattahoochee Country Club and Banquet Chef at the Georgia World Congress Center. Before joining the Davio’s family, Rosekrans was the Executive Sous Chef at the Georgia Dome.
Rosekrans enjoys being a chef because he, “loves to teach and show people how to become better cooks.” His areas of expertise include his keen palate and eye for food and combining flavors on the plate.”
His favorite chefs include Gerry Klaskala, John Carver, Jamie Adams, Harold Marmulstein, John Fleer and Jean Banchet, all of which he has had the pleasure of working with in the past.
When not at Davio’s Atlanta, Rosekrans can be found golfing, shooting, watching soccer – Hala Madrid! – and spending time with his wife, Tamara.
